debut album
art pop/brasil/soul/jazz
singer aja worked with a baptist gospel choir in new york/new jersey for half a year. guitar player toni eberle lived in salvador/bahia where he played with brazilian musicians for half a year. on their debut album both are musically influenced by two cultures that originate in africa. soul and samba flow together into a new style. aja and toni set acoustic impulses. the natural vibration between a guitar and a voice, supported by sounds of the keyboard and percussion. the songs move you by their simplicity and intimacy.
special guests on their album are greek percussionist jorgo mikirosis and austrian trumpet player herbert walser.
‚...inspired songwriting is what you often meet these days in austria....soul, folk, brazilian and certainly jazz are the ingredients of the perfectly harmonic guitar/vocal duo which after being ‚on air’ on the Ö1 radio station received most positive response....and that well earned.’ (jazzzeit)
